Food For Thought
Each group that attends a residential program at Deer Creek Center will have the option to participate in Food For Thought, a unit that focuses on sustainability and the sources of our food. Our Food For Thought curriculum teaches students how their food choices translate to tangible environmental impacts, and how they can take simple steps toward reducing that impact.
Food For Thought culminates in a delicious, homemade taco meal made with locally sourced ingredients. We will provide all the ingredients, and students and instructors will work together to create the healthy meal!
Food For Thought will be available at no additional cost for all DCC groups, thanks to a generous grant from the Ashland Food Co-op.
